MAKE A FILM. MAKE THE CUT. MAKE MARIO PROUD.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the inaugural Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase, an open-call competition that invited aspiring filmmakers to flex their creative skills in a three-to-five-minute Nintendo-themed video or film. Contest judges included Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, David Kwok, senior program director for the Tribeca Film Festival and Lew Harris, editorial director of Movies.com.

Contest Winners
1st place: Good vs. Wiivil — Jack Paccione, Jr., Staten Island, NY
2nd place: Koopa Force — Marc Duddleson, Monroe, NC
3rd place: The Nintendo Office — Christopher Preksta, Pittsburgh, PA

As 1st place winner, Paccione wins a $10,000 cash prize and a public screening in New York City, where the top three shorts will be screened as part of the Tribeca Drive-In Short Film Series at Top of the Rock. Paccione also receives a "power lunch" with Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Craig Hatkoff. All 10 finalists will receive Nintendo systems and software.
